In this short read, you will gain insight to the ambassadorship program we are doing here at Restored Lands. This is something we are tying to promote this year among the community! If it sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, sign up and get started right away!
What Does it Mean to Be an Ambassador for Restored Lands Nonprofit?
Restored Lands Nonprofit, based out of Colorado, seeks to create a more sustainable future for people and the environment by providing educational resources, encouraging environmental stewardship, and building community. However, this mission is not just limited to Colorado. In fact, you can be a part of Restored Lands from anywhere around the world! As an ambassador for Restored Lands, you can raise awareness about environmental issues that matter to you, support a broader movement, and encourage others to do the same!
What are the Duties of an Ambassador?
As an ambassador, your role is to spread the word about Restored Lands and what we do, all while having a fun, productive experience with your friends.
To do this, find an area in need of some environmental attention within your community—whether it’s a trash pickup or campground rehab (fixing fire pits, taking down clothes lines, removing graffiti from rocks, etc…)—and bring together a few other people you know that might be interested in helping out. This can be your friends, family, coworkers, or really anyone that wants to come along and contribute!
Then, during your project, take a few photos showing off the work you’re doing, and get a shot with the group holding a sign saying: “Support Restored Lands Nonprofit”.
Next, post at least two photos to your social media, tagging us and #restoredlandsambasssadors (be sure it's a platform Restored Lands is on!). Once you and your friends have posted photos to social media, we’ll send you a free t-shirt, some other merch, and a 10% off coupon for the Restored Lands Nonprofit Shop. This way, you’ll be able to show or share your support for Restored Lands in more ways than one!
Becoming an ambassador is easy, free, and it's a great way to get outside and have some fun with your friends. Taking these simple steps will not only connect you to a local environmental issue you care about, but also connect you to a broader community of environmentalists across the country. Become an ambassador and help connect the community!

How Does the Ambassadorship Program Help Restored Lands?
As a nonprofit organization, especially in its early stages of development, we need to connect with as many people as possible to build support for our mission. The ambassadorship program shows off the values of Restored Lands—community, stewardship, and education—and encourages people to join the cause. Social media is a great way to accomplish this. When people see others having a fun outing picking up litter or restoring the land, etc., they may be more inclined to join in next time, or even put together a group outing themselves.

With your support, we will be better able to further our cause, and spread more awareness about creating a sustainable future. Although Restored Lands is based in Colorado, environmental degradation extends far beyond Colorado’s border, and it is everyone’s responsibility to do something about it. This is the sentiment we would like to promote, and as an ambassador, you’ll be helping us do just that.
How Does the Ambassadorship Program Help the Environment?
Environmental stewardship isn’t a singular action or policy; it takes lots of little actions to create meaningful change and attitude shifts. This ambassadorship program is one step closer to making that shift happen. Making a difference and creating a sustainable future is made possible by incremental progress on behalf of individuals that care about their surroundings. With every trash pickup or land restoration effort, you are improving the environment and protecting the species that inhabit it. Furthermore, by sharing what you are doing on your social media, you are helping to spread awareness about environmental stewardship to others, and encouraging a broader culture of respect for our natural resources.

As an ambassador, you are also putting the future of our amenities provided by the natural resources you love, into your own hands. This is not only a rewarding experience for you, but ensures that even areas that may not receive a lot of public support are still cared for. Little by little, you are helping create a greener future.
